Hy-Tuf Thermex bars are manufactured using genuine Thermex technology and hardware which guarantee consistent strength properties from bar to bar as well as across the length of an individual bar.

Hy-Tuf Thermex bars offer higher yield strength and elongation compared to CTD bars. Unlike other bars, where elongation property is compromised upon for obtaining higher yield strength, Hy-Tuf Thermex bars have higher strength combined with high elongation. This makes Hy-Tuf Thermex ideal for seismic zones 4 & 5.

Unlike CTD bars, Hy-Tuf Thermex bars have a proven record in resisting loss of strength at high temperatures (400-600 deg.C) such as during fires. Thus, they make the ideal choice for chimneys.

Hy-Tuf Thermex bars have better corrosion resistance mainly on account of the absence of surface stresses caused by the cold twisting process in the CTD bars. Moreover a protective oxide film on the bar’s periphery prevents atmospheric corrosion.
